Ohh My Life #003 My Proposal To Grab & MoH To Save Unnecessary Lives Lost
About a month ago, my LinkedIn post went “viral” with > 100k views, > 820 reactions, > 85 comments that led to LOTS of insightful conversations.
Hello beautiful people! 🤘
(and welcome, my +3 new friends to Ohh My Life!)
About a month ago, my LinkedIn post went “viral” with > 100k views, > 820 reactions, > 85 comments that led to LOTS of insightful conversations.

The post was about proposing to Grab & Ministry of Health my idea to save unnecessary lives lost during emergencies. And people loved & supported the solution.
The solution is really simple.
Essentially, it’s like ordering your GrabFood, but now for the nearest medical volunteers to arrive the emergency situation at the shortest time possible.
Feel free to check out the post 🔗 for full solution explanations.
I reflected on my action of creating this post, my reactions of seeing the post went “viral”, and the incredible conversations I have with the community right after.
1. Take Action, Take Action, Take Action
People think too much and act too less. It should be the other way round.
When I was creating the post, I had lots of thinking - what if no one cares, what if no one responds, and even what if no one likes (lol hahaha I know).
But, I still decided to post and see what happens.
Interestingly, it turned out to be on the greater side 🙂
We tend to give ourselves too many reasons on why things will probably go wrong. Sometimes, we should ignore those noises and START TAKING ACTIONS.
2. Be Open To All Ideas
Diverse and collective thoughts often crafts the most comprehensive solution.
When I created the post, I mindfully told myself to be open to all ideas - good, not so good, anything really.
This shifted mindset opens many doors of opportunity and interesting learnings.
There are SO MANY incredible ideas & solutions other people shared (can read the comments in the post 🔗) that I never even thought of.
Being open to ideas saves me lots of time & effort to try unnecessarily.
Give it a try.
3. It Really Doesn’t Matter If You Don’t Know The Industry
Being an outsider, often, brings out-of-the-box ideas to people who are in the box. (box = industry)
I knew nothing about healthcare. I knew nothing about first aid.
But, I know I have the motivation (the WANT) to bring this solution to reality.
So, I seek help from the right people to complement my skillsets.
I had conversations with first aiders, medical doctors to understand the problem.
This is applicable to anyone who’s worried about not knowing the industry.
First, you ask questions (LOTS). Next, you learn from the answers. Lastly, you become the expert.
I believe these points apply to many aspects / instances in our daily life.
Career switch, starting a new side hustle, initiate a conversation with someone you admire, and many many more.
I’m sharing these points to serve as my own reminders and to hopefully benefit some of you who need it.

I love point 3! Conviction naturally leads to action :)
You’ve reminded me to be generous, and being generous with time is something I’m not great at yet. I’ve felt most loved when people slow down and really listen to what I’m trying to say. So I’m going to try and slow down and be entirely present for whoever I speak to.
