Ohh My Life #007 The Golden Triangle of Life Fulfilment
I just discovered the secrets to life fulfilment.
Hello beautiful people! 🤘
(and welcome, my +1 new friends to Ohh My Life!)
I recently came across a book named Die With Zero by Bill Perkins, who shared his thoughts on life fulfilment - all just using a triangle.
I’ve learnt so much from just staring and reflecting at this triangle.
And, I can’t wait to share it with you.
The Golden Triangle of Life Fulfilment

To live a fulfilling life, we all need a reasonable amount of three elements: health, time, and money (in order). Magically, each age tends to have a different balance of these elements.
20 - 30 Years Old
For the majority of people in this age range, we have good health, and lots of time, BUT lack money. We trade time and health for money.
31 - 60 Years Old
At this age range, we hopefully have acquired a reasonable amount of money, BUT we have lesser time and health deteriorates. If we overfocus on money, we lose more on time and health.
61+ Years Old
We have money that we usually can’t spend all and we have lots of time, BUT now health forbids us to do certain things (i.e. travelling, marathons, or even just a simple jogging for some).
If We Observe Closely, Here Are 3 Clues To Life Fulfilment.
we lose health as we grow older (no other ways except you found divine pills)
we gain money as we grow older (and most people can’t finish spending their money)
we lose time between 31 - 60 and regain the time after 60 y/o.
So, We Can Deduce That …
Protect our health at all costs (prevention is better than cure!)
It’s okay to spend money on experiences (fulfilment) early on since we will earn more eventually
Better spend our time on experiences early on (21 - 30) or later in life (61+).
For All Of Us Who Are In The 21 - 30 Age Group,
protect your health → eat healthily, sleep enough, exercise often, rest your mind
spend money on experiences (fulfilment) you genuinely enjoy I call this Memory Dividend → the more times you think of that experience/share it with other people, the higher dividend the experience gives you, hence, more fulfilling)
spend time wisely → there are certain experiences that you will do at a certain age (i.e. backpacking across SEA countries)
That’s all for today! Hope it brings some reflections to you 🙂
